Cardify
Privacy Policy
Last updated 28 November 2025
Cardify is developed by Pearled Ltd. This policy describes the data practices that are specific to Cardify and its companion services. It should be read together with Pearled's broader Privacy Policy (“Pearled Privacy Policy”). Where these documents differ, the Pearled Privacy Policy applies for all legal interpretations.
1. Data we process
Cardify stores gift card metadata (brand, label, balance, notes), optional photos, and encrypted card numbers locally on your device. If you opt in to iCloud backup, those encrypted payloads sync privately through Apple. We also collect essential account and support information you provide (for example, when contacting us about an issue) and anonymised telemetry that helps us improve app performance.
2. On-device security
Card numbers never leave your device unless you explicitly enable encrypted backup. When enabled, these backups are stored in Apple's iCloud, and your encryption keys are your responsibility to keep secure. Neither Pearled nor Apple can access your plaintext card numbers.
3. Analytics & sharing
We process limited anonymised analytics (such as feature usage, crash diagnostics, and device type) to keep Cardify reliable. Data may be shared with trusted processors strictly to deliver the service as outlined in the Pearled Privacy Policy. We do not sell personal data or share card numbers with advertisers.
4. Controls & preferences
You can delete individual cards at any time or wipe all local data by uninstalling the app. Opting out of analytics is available in the app's settings.
5. Your rights
If you are located in the UK, EU, or a region with similar data protection laws, you can request access, correction, deletion, or portability of the information we hold. Submit requests via the contact channel below and we will respond within the timelines required by the applicable law.
6. Retention & deletion
We keep support correspondence and minimal account data for as long as necessary to provide the service or comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion of your data, and we will confirm once the request is completed.
